Quick turnaround of dry and moisture-rich feed

The addition of moisture-rich feed to the ration has become increasingly popular over the years. This is because experience has shown that the use of this feed is very rewarding, so the supply is gradually becoming larger and broader.

Polem developed the easily-convertible dual-purpose silo specially for this purpose. After all, you want to be able to switch quickly between moisture-rich and dry feed so that you can be flexible at all times. Needless to say, these silos have been designed to guarantee the shelf life and quality of your stored products. Another advantage is that the product flows freely out of the silo without pumping technology, making it a very reliable and low-maintenance process. So it is not surprising that you might have seen this dual-purpose silo on many farms over the past few decades.

The use of composite (fibre-glass reinforced plastic) in combination with a specific spray-wrap process creates a smooth and seamless interior wall leading to excellent outflow properties. In addition, composite is characterised by an extremely long life span and excellent quality.

Complete standard modelIn the standard version, the dual-purpose silo has been constructed for a bulk weight of 1,000 kg/ m3 and is available in diameters of 280 and 300 cm, with volumes of 50 – 70m3.
