Two seawater tanks for Crusta Oceans
Crusta BV in Urk specializes in live shellfish such as king crabs, Canadian lobsters, North Sea crabs and oysters. To keep the animals in optimal condition, Crusta has created the perfect environment: the Crusta Oceans. This is a state-of-the-art saltwater system with a capacity of 500,000 liters, which comes very close to the natural living conditions of the shellfish.
And this is where Polem Crusta was able to help: We supplied two 35m3, 2.80m diameter insulated tanks to store fresh seawater. This helps them to keep the Crusta Oceans in perfect condition.
The salty seawater is not harmful to the Polem storage tanks as the composite material is not susceptible to corrosion.
