Papier & pulp
What materials can be stored?
Suitable for wood pulp, recycled paper, wood fibers, dyes, additives, lignin, filler materials, and process chemicals.
Why choose GRP for paper and pulp storage?
Paper and pulp materials are sensitive to moisture and often contain aggressive process chemicals. GRP offers optimal moisture protection, is chemically resistant, and has seamless inner walls for efficient cleaning.
What if my silo or tank is damaged?
Our service team can repair most damage on site to restore it to its original strength. Thanks to the flexibility of GRP, local repairs can be carried out without replacing the entire structure.
How often should I have my silo or tank inspected?
We recommend performing a visual inspection yourself every month and having a professional Polem Expert Check carried out every 3 to 5 years. This prevents unexpectedly high repair costs and extends the service life of your silo or tank. The recommended frequency depends on various factors: the type of medium you store, how intensively the silo or tank is used, and how often it is filled and emptied. For daily or heavy use, we recommend having inspections carried out more frequently — for example, a professional check every year. For less intensive use, the interval can be longer. Regular checks ensure that your installation remains safe, reliable, and in optimal condition.
Can Polem silos and tanks be placed outdoors?
Yes, GRP is weatherproof. UV-resistant, frost- and heat-resistant. No rust, no painting required. The good insulation value (λ = 0.17 W/m·K) prevents condensation.
